Booking and Payment
Bookings can be placed online via our website www.thewindmillsuffolk.com or a booking request can be sent via firstname.lastname@example.org. After placing your booking we will contact you either by telephone or email to confirm your booking.
Upon booking a deposit of 50% of the total balance is due with the full balance payable 8 weeks prior to your arrival date. Should your booking be less than 8 weeks before your arrival date, the full balance will be due upon booking. If you select the tick box (automatically process balance payment using same card) on the booking form you are allowing us to take balance payment using the card details used to pay the deposit for full balance payment.
THE WINDMILL SUFFOLK is NON VAT registered.
When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide on the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing via a letter of confirmation sent to you by post or email.
Upon booking we will pre-authorise your payment card or request an additional deposit if payment is made via bank transfer of £250.00. This will not be charged (for card payments) or will be returned to you within 2 weeks (via bank transfer) unless any of the following applies:
- The property being left excessively unclean, the property should be kept in the high level of cleanliness it was found in.
- Any significant damage or breakages. Please report any damages to the owner before leaving. Although you will not be charged for very minor breakages, major damage will be charged for. If the damage exceeds the £250.00 security deposit the client will be liable to pay in full the balance difference to replace any damaged items.
- The property is strictly non-smoking and should guests smoke in the property, a charge will be made to cover the cost of additional cleaning of soft furnishings.
Any cancellation made by the customer for whatever reason shall be in writing. Should you need to cancel the booking less than 8 weeks prior to arrival date, you are bound by this agreement to pay for the booking in full, whether or not we have received your final balance.
If we succeed in re-letting the booking, you will be refunded the balance if you have already paid it after deduction of a £60.00 administration fee. We therefore recommend you take out holiday cancellation insurance cover.
If the customer decides to leave earlier than the agreed date, THE WINDMILL SUFFOLK will retain all rental monies paid by the client with no refund considered.
THE WINDMILL SUFFOLK reserves the right to cancel a booking in the unlikely event the property becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control. In this event we would refund all monies payed by you but our liability would not extend beyond this.
